The three layers
GEO, AEO and LLMO are commonly used to describe related optimization approaches. They are not universally standardized definitions, and different teams use them slightly differently. On this website they describe three layers of the same work.
GEO looks at the information environment around a topic: how completely a subject is covered, how clearly entities are described, and whether supporting evidence is present on the page rather than implied. The aim is to give generative experiences richer, clearer material to work with.
AEO is about the shape of the answer. A question is stated plainly, answered in the first few lines, and then supported with detail. This makes the useful part of a page easy to locate — for a reader skimming on a phone, and for a system extracting a short response.
LLMO focuses on clarity and consistency: describing the same entity the same way across the website and other places it appears, so the information available about it does not contradict itself. Consistent information is easier to interpret correctly, wherever it is read.

Entities
A keyword is a string. An entity is a thing with attributes and relationships. When the central subject of a website is clearly defined and consistently connected to the topics around it, the information becomes easier to interpret correctly.
This is an illustrative representation of website entity relationships. It is not a claim about how any specific AI model stores or organizes information internally.

Fit
You already have traffic and content, but the description of your business varies from page to page. The work here is consolidation: one clear definition, supported everywhere, with the topics around it filled in so there are no gaps for a system to guess at.
